A Veteran Tampa Trial Lawyer Dedicated to His Client's Interests

Criminal charges carry significant implications to your career, reputation and liberty.  This is true even when the crime charged is a "non-violent" crime.  Often those accused of white-collar crimes  such as money-laundering, mail, wire, bank or securities fraud don't fully appreciate the severity of the sentencing guidelines or the fact that the government devotes significant resources to aggressively prosecuting these higher profile cases.  If you have been accused of criminal conduct, you need a veteran trial lawyer capable of meeting the challenge.  White-collar criminal matters, in particular, can be complex.  Mr. Suarez and his staff are equipped to handle all types of criminal matters from complex, document intensive cases to more routine matters such as DUIs.   Thorough knowledge of both state and federal criminal law and procedure is important to ensure that every right is vindicated.  Experience in the courtroom is imperative.  The government is going to throw everything it has at you.  You need a criminal defense lawyer  with the right mix of experience and analytical skills to get you through these difficult times.

If You Are Facing Florida Criminal Charges, You Want Ed Suarez In Your Corner

If you have been arrested, you know the bewildering experience of jail, appearing in front of a judge, filling out paperwork that is sometimes confusing and not adequately explained, and the anxiety of wondering how to get help.  Even receiving a summons and complaint of charges in the mail brings the same uncertainty.

Criminal defense lawyer Ed Suarez knows the law.  As a former prosecutor, he knows how the other side thinks and as a result can formulate the strategy to get you the best possible outcome.  His depth of trial experience means that he can thoroughly evaluate and investigate your case, using the tools at his disposal to vindicate your rights and put your mind at ease.

In major criminal cases, Ed Suarez is the trusted recipient of numerous attorney referrals from other law firms in the Tampa - St Petersburg area; and he is the trial lawyer corporate officers turn to when they or a family member require individual representation.

Most of the criminal defense cases at The Law Offices of Ed Suarez are major.  However, Ed Suarez regularly represents clients in DUI , domestic assault or other non-felony matters.  Each criminal case represents a threat to career, reputation and liberty.  Ed Suarez approaches each case with that in mind.  He is dedicated to the best possible result for his clients.

White Collar Criminal Defense

The Law Offices Of Ed Suarez Specializes In White Collar Criminal Defense

Having honed his skills for years prosecuting felony cases, and later building his reputation by effectively defending white collar criminal defendants, Ed Suarez is familiar with the high-profile nature and attendant publicity that white collar cases present.  The government devotes significant resources and effort to white collar crime.  These cases attract public attention and often have political overtones.  There is every reason then, that corporate officers or other white collar criminal defendants require a thorough, thoughtful and competent criminal defense lawyer.

White collar criminal defense is no simple matter.  In the Tampa - St. Petersburg area, Florida law firms and attorneys often seek out Ed Suarez to represent individual corporate officers in white collar criminal cases.  This faith in his abilities is an indication that you can find no better white collar defense representation.  Ed handles any type of white collar criminal matter, including:

  • Bank fraud
  • Corporate fraud
  • Insider trading
  • Investment schemes
  • Tax evasion
  • Antitrust
  • Securities fraud
  • Embezzlement

Ed Suarez is a reliable, honest and sensible trial attorney with the experience to consider the big picture when evaluating his next move.  He is dedicated to the work he does, investing a lot of individual attention on each client.  The results speak for themselves.  As a white collar criminal defendant, the stakes are high.  Don't settle for anything less than the quality legal representation of The Law Offices of Ed Suarez.

DWI/DUI Defense

If You've Been Charged With DUI You Need Ed Suarez To Represent You.

Florida law is tough on those arrested for DUI.  Currently, an individual arrested for DUI in Florida will have his driver license taken and immediately suspended.  Additionally, such an individual will not be issued a hardship or business purpose license for at least 30 days and in some circumstances 90 days.  These harsh sanctions take place upon arrest, prior to any court review of the validity of the charges.  Fortunately, individuals in such a situation can turn to Ed Suarez for help.  Most people don't realize that if they act quickly, an experienced lawyer like Ed Suarez can challenge such a suspension and demand a hearing where the arresting officer can be thoroughly examined and the validity of the arrest can be challenged.  Experienced DUI lawyers, like Ed Suarez, recognize that such a hearing provides the client not only with the opportunity to retain their driving privilege, but also allows him to get a great deal of information regarding the prosecution's case without the prosecutor even being there.

In addition to protecting the client's driving privileges, Ed Suarez can advise the client with the best approach to the criminal prosecution.  Florida's tough DUI laws carry minimum mandatory sentences that include mandatory probation and fines, significant community service, impoundment of vehicles and in some circumstances mandatory jail terms. (For additional information click on Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles)  Clients should also consider that under Florida law, a third DUI arrest can be charged as a felony.  Without the help of an experienced DUI lawyer like Ed Suarez, such an individual faces not only the mandatory sanctions just described, but also the full weight of being a convicted felon.

Many of your rights have to be exercised within specific time frames or they are waived.

If you have been arrested of DUI, you need to call Ed Suarez immediately.  He can help.
