PENNSYLVANIA CRIMINAL DEFENSE LAW

If you or a loved one has been charged with any type of crime in Pennsylvania, chances are that the accused individual is feeling frightened, alone, and worried for the future. As humans, we all make mistakes, and sometimes a mistake may violate criminal law. It is even worse when an individual is falsely accused of a crime that they did not commit. Whether the criminal charge is mild or severe, it is vital for anyone accused of a crime to contact our PA Criminal Defense Attorneys at Carrucoli and Associates Law to ensure the best possible outcome.

Have you or a loved one been charged with a crime in Pennsylvania? It is imperative to contact a Pennsylvania Criminal Law Attorney today.

Criminal law and defense covers a variety of areas, including but not limited to:

  • Homicide
  • Drunk Driving  - DUI
  • Drug Offenses - PWI
  • Assault and Battery
  • Sex Crimes
  • White Collar Crimes
  • Juvenile Offenses

Each year in Pennsylvania, many different types of crimes occur. These crimes range from minor incidents and juvenile offenses to misdemeanors and felonies. A recent one year study showed that out of the 12 million human population in Pennsylvania, property crimes were the most common with over 300,000 occurrences. Theft followed closely behind, along with over 50,000 violent crimes and almost 30,000 assaults. Additionally, over 3,000 rapes and 700 murders occurred in that same year. A juvenile offense occurs when an individual under the age of 18 commits a crime. In most cases, these types of incidents are handled in the Court of Common Pleas. Detention centers throughout Pennsylvania serve children and teenagers between the ages of 10 and 17 that are found guilty of a particular crime. Although charges for juveniles are not as severe as charges for adults, they can greatly impact a young person for their entire life, no matter how mild the offense may appear to be. More extreme crimes, such as murder, are not always taken so lightly even when it's a juvenile that is involved. This is when it is even more crucial to have a qualified criminal defense attorney on your side in order to protect the child in your life that is facing conviction. Some common crimes that children and adolescence commit in Pennsylvania include drug abuse, larceny, curfew violations, vandalism, burgulary and disorderly conduct, just to name a few.

Other common crimes in Pennsylvania are crimes related to drugs. Drug trafficking, illegal drug selling and using, and drug possession are all serious drug offenses. Most drug cases deal with marijuana, amphetamines, cocaine, and heroin. Although many drug offenders are nonviolent, many receive harsh sentences even when only caught possessing the drugs and not actually using or selling them. Being convicted of a drug crime can result in several years in jail, as well as a blemished record for life.

Being convicted of a crime in Pennsylvania can greatly impact an individual for the rest of their life. Even after their initial punishment is over, they will still feel the affects of their crime. Getting a job, for example, can be extremely difficult if you have been found guilty for certain criminal actions. Our PA Criminal Defense Attorneys at Carrucoli and Associates Law can help reduce or even eliminate any fines or sentencing that may come with being charged for a crime.

Traffic Violations

Harrisburg & York PA Traffic Violations

At one point or another, many of us will receive traffic tickets. Whether it's using poor judgment or making a simple mistake, a split decision can result in more than just a large fine. You may think to yourself that simply paying off the fine and just moving on would be much easier and less of a hassle, but keep in mind that license suspension and skyrocketing insurance rates are just some of the other penalties that may go along with receiving a traffic ticket. Many police officers in Pennsylvania will sometimes try to find any reason they can to give out citations in order to meet their quota. If you received a ticket in Pennsylvania, it is vital to let our lawyers handle the situation for you.

Have you received a Traffic Ticket? No worries! Simply contact our Pennsylvania Traffic Ticket Lawyers today!

Examples of traffic offenses that our lawyers handle include the following:

  • Drunk Driving - DUI
  • Hit & Run
  • Fleeing and Alluding
  • Speeding
  • Running a Stop Sign
  • Running a Red Light
  • Reckless Driving
  • Road Rage

In Pennsylvania, many severe consequences are based on a points system. For example, drunk driving may result in license suspension, but a combination of different minor violations such as running a stop sign or speeding can also result in license suspension if a certain amount of points accumulate. When you simply pay off a traffic ticket, it is like you are admitting guilt for that incident and the points then go onto your license. Your exact traffic offense will determine exactly how many points you are at risk of receiving if you decide to just pay it off. Usually, being found guilty of just one traffic ticket can result anywhere from 2 to 5 points, and 6 points or more may put one in the danger zone for license suspensions or requirements to attend traffic school.

Many individuals in Pennsylvania depend on driving when it comes to their line of work. Whether it's making simple deliveries around town or using commercial vehicles to travel throughout the state of Pennsylvania, getting a certain amount of points from traffic violations can result in losing that job if your license is suspended or revoked. Other major offenses can even result in jail time. Don't risk being faced with these consequences. Let our lawyers handle your traffic ticket!
