SEX CRIMES

Riverside Lawyers: Sex Crimes

If you face charges of sex-related crimes, the consequences can include a lengthy prison sentence, registration as a sex offender, and long-term stigmatization that can mar your reputation and future prospects.

Harmon & Harmon works with clients in Riverside, California, and the surrounding area who have been charged with sex crimes such as rape, prostitution or indecent exposure. We examine closely the factors surrounding the incident and the persons involved and provide representation that is appropriate to the circumstances. Contact us today to discuss your options in a free initial consultation.

Serious Charges

A conviction for a sex crime can have devastating effects upon an individual. Beyond the inability to find a job or a place to live, the ongoing ostracizing that occurs can even prevent someone from seeking behavioral health assistance. Our firm represents clients charged with a wide range of criminal sexual behaviors including:

  • Prostitution
  • Rape
  • Child molestation
  • Pandering
  • Internet pornography trafficking
  • Sexual battery
  • Indecent exposure
  • Failure to register as a sex offender

Circumstances that Effect the Severity of Charges

In cases of statutory rape, the charge may be a felony or misdemeanor. This is determined in part by difference in age between the alleged perpetrator and victim. Even a consensual act with a minor can be viewed as a registerable sex offense. Our attorneys examine circumstances surrounding a sex crime charge thoroughly, and look for factors such as alcohol or drug addiction and psychological conditions which may influence outcomes.

If you have been charged with a sex crime such as statutory rape or failure to register as a sex offender, the best way to ensure that your rights will be protected and that your options remain open is to contact an attorney as soon as possible. If you are in Southern California, rely upon the sure, solid experience of Harmon & Harmon. Contact us today to obtain a free initial consultation.

GANG CRIMES

Gang Crimes Attorneys - Riverside, California

The presence of gangs in Riverside County, and among other urban centers across the country, is on the rise. This increase has also resulted in an increase in arrests for gang-related crimes. Whether the charges relate to theft, drug sales or an assault, their relationship to gangs makes them much more complicated and the outcomes more serious.

At the law office of Harmon & Harmon we have successfully tried many gang related cases and can make an impact on the outcome of your case. For information on how we may be able to represent you, contact our firm today and schedule a free initial consultation.

Gang Crime: Upping the Ante

Social and political pressure to deal with the increase in gangs has led to more complex laws related to gang crimes. A normal felony for robbery, drive-by shooting, drug dealing or assault can turn into a life sentence when connected to gang activity. Law enforcement has stepped up their efforts, in effect declaring war on gangs in Riverside County. If your criminal arrest can be connected with gang activity, you face serious penalties if convicted.

Experience on Your Side

Because criminal defense is all we do, our experience is focused. This is reflected in our deep knowledge of how to handle various criminal charges. Over the last thirty years, we have learned to adapt to the changes in the legal climate in Southern California. Rely on our lawyers to help you pursue a reduced charge or an acquittal.

If you have been charged with a gang-related crime, the best way to ensure that your rights will be protected in a legal climate that is ever-changing is to contact an attorney as soon as possible. If you are in Southern California, rely upon the sure, solid experience of Harmon & Harmon. Contact us today to arrange a free initial consultation.
