Threshold Amounts under Arizona Drug Law
Under Arizona law, convictions for quantities of drugs larger than a "threshold" amount can result in mandatory prison time. The threshold amount is different for each type of drug. For methamphetamine and cocaine, nine grams is enough. For marijuana, the quantity is two pounds. For heroin, one gram.
